Chloë Cantineau is an Ayurvedic therapist, acupuncturist and sound healer from Belgium. From a young age Chloë was inclined to the healing profession, and has walked different paths which led her to her own combination of ancient knowledge, put into practice.
Semi-precious stones are her passion, so the first training she followed was one for massaging with gemstones.
An innate attraction to India has led her to study 1 year of Indology in Ghent, Belgium. This course trained her in the history and religion of India.
She continued her Indian journey and went to study in the country itself. Following her heart and the desire to heal, she started to study the ancient knowledge of Ayurveda, the natural medicine of India, which is more than 5000 years old. This knowledge is a branch of the Vedas, the sacred knowledge of India.
At the age of 19, she studied 1 year of Yoga and Pancha Karma Therapies in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Practical skills were trained, from different types of massage therapies to making herbal remedies.
This was continued by a couple of years at the Gujarat Ayurved University in the city of Jamnagar, India. Here, a deeper knowledge was imparted about anatomy and physiology and the history and philosophy of Ayurveda, and its different branches, based on classical Sanskrit texts.
This was followed by one year of theory about Ayurveda at Mayur, “The Ayurvedic University of Europe”, in London, UK.
Encounters with disease has led her to Classical Chinese Medicine, and more so, acupuncture. Fascinated by the results of this healing modality, she decided to study it herself.
She started studying acupuncture in 2015 at Qing Bai Academy, in the Netherlands.
Having completed this course in 2018, she followed an additional Western Medicine course of 1,5 years. This course covered anatomy, physiology and psychology from a Western point of view.
During her studies of acupuncture, she got in contact with Kiiko Matsumoto Style Acupuncture. She followed several seminars and courses and is still learning and implementing this style today.
During her acupuncture studies, she went on several healing retreats with one of her acupuncture teachers. Here, she immersed herself in learning and practicing acupuncture, Ayurveda, and Daoyin Qi Gong. She was taught the very unique Dao Marma massage at the Yamuna Health Resort in India during this period of time.
Another calling of the heart led her to study Sound Healing, at the Sound Healing Academy in London in 2020. This journey has just begun and will continue in the future.
Having walked so many beautiful paths of healing, she feels blessed to combine this knowledge to help people with the struggles of dis-ease, in all its forms.
She wants to specialize in Kiiko Matsumoto Style acupuncture and conduct more research to help fight cancer in this world.
