Kiiko Matsumoto

Gems from the Classics
Clinical Applications from the Classics

May 17th & 18th 2008

Course Outline:

Kiiko in action..Using her own unique blend of theory and demonstration Kiiko will be explaining her approach to the Han Dynasty Classics of Chinese Medicine primarily the Su Wen, Ling Shu and Nan Jing. Kiiko has truly unique and insightful ways to interpret these often difficult texts and then make this ancient knowledge relevant and practical for use in the treatment room.

Using patients drawn either from the class, or from practice, Kiiko will demonstrate her abdominal palpation and diagnostic techniques. During the clinical demonstration Kiiko will be showing both diagnosis and treatment techniques. This will include needling, the use of thread moxa and possibly other Japanese techniques. She will also be showing points, point locations and indications that are unique to Japanese acupuncture.
